In your initial research, you should have determined which social media platforms your intended audience prefers to use. Typically, your audience will prefer one or more of the following social media options:

You know that your audience is using popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and Bing to find information online. Keywords are also a great way to target a certain audience online.

Understanding what your audience is searching for is imperative to your online marketing strategy. Use Google Keyword Planner and Google Trends to determine exactly what keywords to include throughout your written content.

By including hyper-specific keywords related to the industry, your location, and the interests/needs of your audience, you can ensure that your information shows up on popular search engines used by your audience.

For instance, let’s say you create a piece of content titled, “The Top 4 Addiction Treatment Centers in Any State, USA” where you discuss the pros and cons of each facility in this geographic area. The keyword “addiction treatment centers in Any State, USA” is right in your page title!
