You\u2019ll want to invest in some tools to help make this job easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two most important functionalities you want out of a tool for measuring backlink building efforts are backlink tracking and keyword ranking tracking. <strong>Backlink tracking<\/strong> notifies you as you gain or lose backlinks and <strong>keyword ranking tracking<\/strong> helps you understand how your website is ranking for the keywords you\u2019re targeting (which is important because of how your website\u2019s domain authority impacts your ability to rank).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unless you\u2019re an enterprise company with an enterprise budget, the best all-in-one SEO tools for the job will be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ahrefs.com\">Ahrefs<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.semrush.com\">SEMrush<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SEMrush will be a better fit if you also do a lot of PPC advertising. There\u2019s also <a href=\"https:\/\/majestic.com\/reports\/site-explorer?q=example.com&amp;IndexDataSource=F&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjw6IfoBRCiARIsAF6q06ty-DSGKfyhML7twX-khjb7bnW8Qy-9Ob_gQHPZ4crHK8mSxAs59DMaAhN8EALw_wcB\">Majestic<\/a> but it\u2019s focused almost entirely on backlinks when compared with these other tools that offer all-in-one features at the same price. Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Moz each offer plans starting around $99\/month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking for a budget option, <a href=\"https:\/\/serpstat.com\/\">Serpstat<\/a> (plans start at $55.20\/month when paid yearly) and <a href=\"https:\/\/seranking.com\/\">SE Ranking<\/a> (plans start at $31\/month when paid yearly) are your next best bets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serpstat is a little more limited in that it offers keyword ranking tracking but does <em>not <\/em>track backlinks. SE Ranking offers rank tracking and manual backlink monitoring, which will be a more tedious process than what you\u2019d get using Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Majestic. Note that both Serpstat and SE Ranking offer several all-in-one SEO tool features that make them useful for more than just backlink-related measurement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides using SEO tools to assist your efforts, you\u2019ll also want to keep track of who you\u2019ve been emailing and who you should follow up with. The low tech method? Use Gmail\u2019s snooze functionality to resurface emails that may require follow up.
